A unique opportunity for to buy a classic yacht. Her story so far, This twister has never been finished she was moulded back in the late 80's by Tyler's and sold to her first owner to be fitted out. He unfortunately passed away before she was completed. She was then sold on to another owner who had a change in his personnel circumstances and sold her to me. With a young family and time pressures i am struggling to put aside the time to finish her. I am prepared to take a loss at the price advertised or close to it, but I'm not desperate to give this boat away. The twister has a great pedigree and still a very sort after boat today. I have always aspired to own a twister starting with a wooden folkboat and will be sad to see her go. The twister has a very active owners association and wealth of knowledge to help guide anyone. She is yet to be officially named although the first owner had brass plates engraved "Verene" which I beilieve stands for faith. This boat has the majority of the hard work done and expense spent. She is very well equipped above deck with z spars mast and boom i have installed a combined trilight and all round white anchor light along with a wind index with vhf aerial and wind animoniter. She has 3 mast winches and the option to run haliards back to the cockpit. The mast was erected this spring so I could start working on getting her ready to be commissioned next spring but time is against me. She has a manual anchor winch twin bow cleats fair leads all fitted. Stanton plates are fitted and stanchion poles supplied just needs the guard wires. She has lewmar Windows and hatches I believe. She had good chunky gunwhales and trackmar deck covering. She has a good roomy cockpit with four winches fitted and engine controls fitted. She has a self draining cockpit 3 lockers and a hard wood capping on the cockpit top surround. There is a push pit but I was planning to intergrate the main sheet horse on to it to save space so this is yet to be done or fitted. The rudder is hung and Perspex washboards for the entry hatch. The out side needs little work to get her ship shape. The Majority of the work is inside with the main bulkheads installed and births all but finished. She need the heads installed and hanging locker or wash section opposite to suit you requirements. Roof lining and coachroof sides lined in your choice of finish a cabin sole fitted finishing the nav station a new galley and entry steps over the engine. She has a beta 10 Hp engine fitted which was hasn't been used so is one hand new but has aged sitting there. Say it quick enough it sounds simple but this boat needs love and time, I have the love just not the time. There is a brand new alcohol twin burner and grill a used main sail from another twister and various bits of inventory which I will look to list fully to any serious buyers but this will take time to collate. This will make a fantastic boat for someone with the chance to put your own imprint on her finish and layout. She is currently in a private boatyard in Truro cornwall and is available to view by negotiation winter fees are paid and lift in or on a load loader are paid and booked. • Once boats are laid up no boat is not able to leave the yard with out committee approval which is unlikely, lifts in this year are sept 24 25 and 26th of sept where she could be loaded on to a low loader or the lifts out on April 22 and 23 next year anything out side of this will be the buyers responsibility. There is an option to become a member and retain her space in yard with approval of the club which would mean forgiving my space and going on the waiting list again. There is too much to list she needs to be seen although I never viewed her when I bought her and I was not disappointed when she arrived. Please message me for my number if you wish to discuss this opportunity further I will listen to all serious and sensible offers but I will keep going with her if I can't get a realistic price for her. Thanks for reading this far and I hope she might be what your looking for. no PayPal cash or bank transfer only please.
