Wayland Proximo I single seater folding sea kayak (Aug 2014) - Pacific Blue - Almost new2014 model. Hardly used, been off-shore on short distance try-outs (2-3 times), otherwise the kayak has been used as static display at shows during 2014 and placed in storage since. This version has the removable washboard feature (last photo) that is now standard with the Wayland COMBAT version kayaks (assists with surf waves), front side accessory pouches, inflatable seat, front and rear hatches. Price includes spray cover, excludes paddles. Comes with a single large backpack bag.Without a spraydeck fitted, the kayak can handle moderate waves with the washboard fitted without letting water in.The Proximos have an aluminum frame which has a different assembly design compared to the other Wayland wooden framed touring kayaks that uses clip locks. Additionally, with the smaller cockpit, this model of boat has a longer assembly and disassembling time. Approx 20-30 minutes. Ideal if the kayak is left assembled or for infrequent use. 10 year guarantee on the skin and 5 years on the frame. With proper maintenance and care, you can extend the life of your kayak, way beyond the guaranteed life of 10 years.We would prefer and recommend that you see the kayak before purchasing - to make sure that you are happy with the assembly process.Collect from Reading, Berkshire or request for the kayak to be shipped to you. Courier cost within the UK mainland = £60.00 (invoiced separately). Please allow for 2-3 working days for the packing and arranging of the courier before expected dispatch.
