1938 ex navel fast launch life boat. here we have Esmarelda, she is a piece of british history and a rare one at that she served during ww2. she has been converted to a live aboard boat. she is iron/steel hull metal unknown but that which was used in 1938 boat building. she is rivited together not often seen now so shows her age. there is a utube video of her being craned into her current location should you like a better view of her type in 1938 conveted lifeboat and it will show up. last  blacked feb 2015. she has bsc untill march next year and licence till october this year but i renew so will have some form of licence on her. she is a solid boat bottom looks solid when craned out no pitting so no plating required. she is 24ft x 7.2ft wide metal hull and top with wooden rear with fitted canopy. she has a 1.4 perkins diesel inboard engine. we think this might well be her only ever engine on board. recently had starter motor recond and replaced the gear box as it spit a cog on the river trent. i do still have it as was going to get it fixed as a spare.she runs great bit noisey but she is a 78 year old lady after all. ive had her a year now and although i love her im in need of a bigger boat so looking to buy a narrow boat or would concider a trade.inside there are afew bits left to complete for someone with abit of diy skill. i have removed the long seat on the right side of the boat to put in a log burner. not yet put in. burner is included in sale it just needs the fittings i.e. pipes etc. inside you have a double bed in bow of the boat a sink with drainer and a gas cooker/grill. there is a shower but it needs a new shower tray as due to age the plastic gave way and my daughter put her foot through looking on ebay there about £50 so not much really. there is a cassette toilet in shower room. there is a large hot water tank in the engine bay that is heated by the engine. she has just had a brand new leisure battery. red roller blinds all round. 2 slats of glass need replacing in toilet/shower room but will be done before buyer collects. she is a great boat and i will be sad to see her go but i need more space. message for more info. i will add more photos of the boat soon as i get the chance. viewing available on request. payment to be made via bank transfer only. within 7 days of winning. you win you buy. buyer collects. no fender kickers please.
