This listing for one kayak only - the smaller of the two kayaks shown in the photos (alu framed)Wayland Proximo I single seater folding sea kayak (Aug 2012) - Duck Yellow2012 "prototype" model. Hardly used, used on River Thames only on short distance try-outs, otherwise the kayak had been used as static display at shows during 2013-4 and was placed in storage since. This version has a permanent washboard feature - assists in deflecting surf waves, inflatable seat, front and rear hatches. Price includes spray cover, excludes paddles. Comes with a single large backpack bag.Without a spraydeck fitted, the kayak's raised washboard can handle moderate waves without letting water in, whilst also reduces wave shock on waist skirts. This is the feature that is now included in the COMBAT kayaks - designed for operational use on offshore ops.The Proximos have an aluminum frame which has a different assembly design compared to the other Wayland wooden framed touring kayaks that uses clip locks. Additionally, with the smaller cockpit, this model of boat has a longer assembly and disassembling time. Approx 30 minutes. Ideal if the kayak is left assembled or for infrequent use. Wayland kayaks comes with 10 year guarantee on the skin and 5 years on the frame (not transferrable, but gives an idea of life expencancy). With proper maintenance and care, you can extend the life of your kayak, way beyond the guaranteed life of 10 years.We would prefer and recommend that you see the kayak before purchasing - to make sure that you are happy with the assembly process.Collect from Reading, Berkshire or request for the kayak to be shipped to you. Courier cost within the UK mainland = £60.00 (invoiced separately). Please allow for 2-3 working days for the packing and arranging of the courier before expected dispatch. Collection is to be on prior arrangement with at least 48hrs notice.
