For sale sought after and rare Leo daCosta designed small yacht. Measuring 15ft long with a lifting keel. Complete with trailer which pulls exceptionally well, no noise. The boat and trailer combined weigh 550kg so can be towed on any licence. The yacht is ready to go and has sailed 300 miles along the south coast this summer. For the trip we put in a new electrical system, this runs cabin lights, navigation lights and a gps/depth sounder from a simple car battery (see photos) (battery is not included). Included on the control panel is a voltmeter, cigarette lighter and two usb ports for charging phones. There is a solar panel on the boat that charges the battery. We sailed for 10 days and the battery never ran out! There is a slight tear on the furling foresail. It has been repaired with canvas repair tape and we sailed 5 days without any problems so could definitely be left if you aren’t bothered by the tape! Otherwise an easy repair. All running gear is brand new and works perfectly. This is a great first yacht and we loved sailing the south coast, two people sleeping on board with ease. Selling due to getting back into racing and so buying a racing dinghy, sadly don’t have the space for both.
