Halcyon Clipper, 27 ft. Ketch. In outstanding condition for a vessel of it's age having spent a great deal of its early life stored ashore, under cover. During my ownership, I have improved her considerably at great expense. She is ketch rigged. 26' 11" long, 8' 9" beam and 3' 1" draft with cast iron fin keels. Sail area is 288 square feet. Displacement is 3 tons (2795kg) She has 6 berths in two cabins. She has a water tank 10 gallon fresh water and 6 gallons of diesel fuel in 2 stainless stell tanks,. Accommodation comprises a vee berth up forward for 2, 2 settees in the main saloon and two lifting pilot berths, also in the main saloon. To starboard of the main companionway, she has a separate heads compartment with pump out sea toilet and a handbasin with pumped cold water to basin. The galley is situated to port. She has a stainless steel sink with electrically pumped cold water supply and a gimballed oven with two burners and grill. She has electric lights, two gimballed oil lamps and a clock and barometer. Fit out below is all in pine providing a nice, light interior. All upholstery is in green vinyl and all is is very good condition.Engine is accessed via a panel in the main saloon and engine control panel is fitted inside the main compainionway. She is tiller steered with a transom hung rudder and the cockpit is fitted with safety harness points. She has webbing jackstays provided for safety.She is equipped with shore power and two 13amp sockets. I have added a new Genoa and furler. The main and mizzen are tan (as is the Genoa) and whilst the latter sails are original, they are in excellent condition. Additionally, she has a mizzen staysail ind a brand new cruising chute in yellow and white Both main and mizzen are fitted with stack packs to facilitate raising and furling sails. Easymatic 6:1 mainsheet system on Harken adjustable mainsheet system. New self tailing sheet winches. A full suite of instrumentation is fitted. A Standard Horizon chartplotter is fitted to the cockpit bulkhead and an electronic compass, wind instrument, log, GPS repeater and depth gauge are fitted in the bridge deck. She is fitted with a GPS below decks, a Standard Horizon DSC VHF and a Navtex.All in all she is a cracking little boat fully equipped to sail away. The ketch rig is unusual in a boat of this size but offers a very flexible sail plan. If you enjoy pulling bits of string, this is the boat for you!She is afloat at Gillingham marina and is seriously for sale as I have already purchased another boat.
