The pictures probably tell a better story. Boat and trailer were a CL find, After sanding off some of the best (and toughest) marine paint I have come across the hull revealed 99% excellent preserved original wood. Juniper plywood hull sides and other construction details age the hull to 1960's to early 1970's at latest. There were no records with boat, VIN, etc.. After very minor wood repair, light caulking, and new paint she is ready for a new home. Motor is a fresh rebuilt 1958 Mercury Kiekhaefer Mark 28. Motor does everything it should, (starts, idles, throttles up/down, forward, neutral, reverse, etc...). Boat and motor have been fresh water lake tested couple times and everything performs as expected. Hull has no leaks and very shallow draft with light load, (6" maybe by guessing, photos show also). Trailer is Cox galvanized. It has new lights, coupler, winch, bunk carpet and wood, and all new wiring with 4 pin. Tires are still holding air so I did not replace. I would rate the trailer 7 out of 10, hull 8 out of 10, and the motor 9 out of 10. Feel free to contact with any questions. I have more pics if needed and video of motor running in test tank and on water with boat. Boat has new registration and clean title from NC, trailer had no VIN that I could see so I did not register in NC (new owner can title in home state if required), and NC does not require outboard registration. Thanks for looking. The videos are on Vimeo under Charles Basinger Designs.
