Lovely 17ft 6 traditional day boat (21ft rigged with bowsprit), with rugged GRP hull, wooden spars, tan sails and classic bronze fittings. Number 07 of the range, built for me by Character Boats at Lytham St. Annes, this is an improved version of the traditional Lune Whammed, designed for lake, estuary and coastal cruising. It is certified Category C (inshore waters) for 7 persons. Equipment includes Yamaha 4HP outboard, bilge pump, anchors, compass, large equipment lockers, strong canvas cockpit hood, roller reefing jib, 2 canvas covers and easy launching braked trailer with winch and spare wheel. Towing weight is 780Kg. Traditional halyards and jib sheets were replaced this year and it has new top quality sealed wheel bearings. This is a delightful boat to sail and easy to handle single-handed. The lead filled long shallow keel, with small bilge keels, gives great stability and it is designed to be beached on sand or shingle without damage and to stay upright.
