A 1930's Motor Canoe made by Buss & Elston Limited of Watford.
The canoe was sold as the new motor "Gondacruza" de luxe.The canoe is 17 foot 6 inches in length (approx 5.3 metres).It is made of mahogany on oak frames by double diagonal construction.The canoe is in need of some restoration.The original makers plate is included as are two Thames Conservancy plates from 1936 and 1937The canoe is collection only from Ashford Middlesex, TW15.To view the canoe please contact Neil on 07879 864 622.
On 19-Sep-16 at 12:56:35 BST, seller added the following information:I have added two new photographs:The canoe with its original wheel, rudder, floor (partially complete), fuel tank, silencer and engine box. The engine box is lose and incomplete. The wheel is in its original location, but not fixed.Some pictures of the canoe showing it as it was when bought in late 1970s or early 1980s The original engine appears to be a Stuart Turner 1 1/2 hp (possibly a R3M). I do not have the engine, but have a similar one listed.
