Flatacraft Force 3 RIB, Interflex controls, console, good trailer, dinghy/tender
Estimated price for orientation: 26 $
Category: Power Boats
Class:
Description Manufacturer: Flatacraft Trailer: Included Length (Feet): 9ft Engine Type: Up to 30hp
This is potentially a fun little RIB that you could use - almost - as is.It holds air well (has now been pumped hard for 4 days since coming out of the shed where it has been stored for two years with reduced air pressure in tubes), and has no obvious significant problems - to my non-expert eyes anyway - apart from needing a jolly good scrub and a bit of TLC with glue to the go-faster stripe on the spraydeck, and to the glued-on fabric seat supports - see pics. The tubes are a bit grubby though - in some of the pics the fairly ingrained grey staining makes them look wrinkled with low air, but actually they're pumped hard.
The tubes have newer blue fabric patches on top which look professionally done - they were there when I bought it. I think it basically just needs cleaning with proprietary RIB tube cleaner. The fibreglass boat floor seems in fine condition. Also has brand new hardwood transom (just 4 drill holes needed to install) which I commissioned last year to replace a horrid old plywood transom. There are seemingly good quality repairs to hull are visible underneath - I think this used to be a sailing RIB with a drop down keel, but the slot for the keel has been filled in for some reason. (There's also what looks like a hole for a mast in the fabric spraydeck.)The console mounted Interflex engine/gear control appears in sound working condition although the steering cable casing is split. It needs a new steering wheel as you can see! However if you don't want to use the console and engine controls the console just lifts off easily, and you could just hand-steer an outboard from the back of the boat. The trailer has a bit of surface rust but seems extremely sound - hubs/bearings have external grease nipples for topping up, tyres look good.. it was fully roadworthy two years ago and stored in a dry shed since. Trailer supports really need adjusting for boat but work perfectly well as is. It has a support for a mast at the front, but the trailer and boat were bought separately. I'm a non-expert vendor, so this description is made in good faith but may be factually incorrect. So the boat and trailer are sold 'as seen' in the pictures with absolutely no guarantees implied. Or phone to view to view in Arundel, West Sussex before you bid. Buyer will need to bring ratchet straps etc, to hold boat on to trailer, plus a light board to tow. (Or I've got one you can have for a tenner!) A good foot pump is included.Boat is advertised elsewhere for £350 but must be sold and gone so selling with no reserve.Phone 01903 882394 to view any time. Cash on collection please.
