Bacchante Description   Survey in Aug. 2013 describes Bacchante as a good example of her type. She was a factory finished vessel and "the boat of the show boat" Olympia Boat Show London in 1991,the first to have hull epoxied from new. Four owners in total has been lightly used through her lifetime.  Since the survey she has been lifted out 4 times for hull, keel, through hull fittings, rudder and drive gear maintenance. Topsides and coach roof have been kept clean and polished with the very few scrapes repaired without delay. Standing Rigging Renewed Mar. 2015. Running Rigging nearly all has been renewed in last 2 years. Engine maintained to schedule, in addition the fuel system and tank was drained and cleaned in 2013 and new engine mounts fitted in 2015. Sails worn but serviceable for cruising: mainsail has a 3 small repairs; jib repairs confined to UV strip; cruising chute excellent condition little used. Overall she is a pretty vessel handles beautifully a pleasure to sail.   Mechanical:  Yanmar 1GM10 9HP  diesel inboard engine, seawater cooling. Navigation:  Autopilot, log/ speed, echo sounder, compass, navigation lights, 2*Garmin GPS, clock/barometer, wind instruments - close hauled, DSC VHF radio connected to GPS. Electrical:  2*12 volt batteries,  batteries charged by  engine controlled by Sterling smart regulator. Mooring:  Danforth anchor with chain and warp, small CQR kedge with chain and warp, boat hook, warps ropes and fenders. Rigging:  Shrouds/Stays 5mm Compact Dyform 1*19 stainless steel wire, backstay 4mm 1*19 stainless steel wire and forestay 6mm 1*19 stainless steel wire, terylene running rigging,  mast is stepped in a tabernacle thus mast can be hand raised and lowered with two strong people although in practice 3/4 is better. Roller headsail reefing and slab reefing  to main with lines running to cockpit together with self tacking jib mean that she can easily be handled single handed. The Kemp Scooper with snuffer is in very good condition and whilst main and jib are original they have been regularly  valeted and maintained. Interior/Domestic: 6 * berths in 2 cabins with 5ft 10in headroom, 1 double in separate aft cabin, 1 double in forepeak, 2 singles in saloon, separate heads compartment with sea toilet and holding tank, galley with gas cooker with oven, sink and coolbox.
