Pavane - 34ft Ketch rigged SailboatThis is a beautiful example of a Seastream 34 - an excellent blue water, family sized boat, lying currently on the river Dart in Devon, UK.

We have sold our souls to the devil - aka bank - to set up in business so unfortunately the lovely Pavane has to go. We have had her 6 months and have lived aboard and carried out work to her, but unfortunately we have not sailed her, nor are we what you could call expert sailors - yet - so please forgive the sketchiness with regards to some of the details.
I am not going to list every single item on the boat - as she was sold to us she is pretty much ready to go - I am also not expert enough to say other than this, either way. Also, she is on a river mooring currently and I have not been able to get out to get interior photographs - these will follow soon.

The Good

She has a recently serviced Mercedes OM636 engine, which runs sweet and has excellent oil pressure.
As far as we are aware, the sails and rigging are in good condition although as above we have not sailed her ourselves. The interior is lovely, with varnished teak throughout. She has a double v-berth and captain's berth aft of this which has two bunks. The saloon table also drops down to form a double bed. (Sleeps 6 comfortably)There is a spacious galley, with a calor gas Flavel cooker capable of producing some real delights!
The Lavac sea head functions perfectly.
She looks really tidy and good condition both externally and internally, we believe she's been well looked after and carries her age extremely well. She has a brand new Bowman oil cooler. The BadThere is a leak from the Borg Warner gearbox. We have been investigating and believe the 'box may need to be removed. Apparently it is not too major a job on this engine / box assembly. We suspect there may be rot to the starboard bulkhead in the v-berth. We have not yet investigated this fully but there are signs of a previous repair there. We have arranged for Pavane to be lifted out for winter storage, and plan on remedying these issues ourselves (we are a mechanical engineer and a boatbuilder), but ideally, we need the boat gone as soon as possible. Hence we are willing to negotiate on price relative to the work she requires. We are having her stored locally, but the yard only lift out / in twice a year, so once she is out she will have to stay there until April. We will have paid for this storage though so it will be included with the boat. Viewing welcome, any questions please do get in touch - 07870 109051
