Jaguar (Catalina) 22 YachtApprox. Dimensions 22' long, 7' 6" beam (width) and 1.5' - 2' draft (depth under water)Boat Safety Certificate valid until March 2020.Current river licence not transferable but this falls into a very cheap band being classed as motor sailor making it hundreds of pounds cheaper to licence each year compared to a cruiser.I got this end of last year needing some refurbishment, I have restored where necessary with new anti-foul at the beginning of the year and it looks great. Original gel coat on topside. I have had a great summer on it cruising on the river and am now looking to get a new project for the winter. It is has been powered by a 5HP Parsun 4 stroke outboard which I bought new about a year ago, this is not included, I have listed this separately but will give first refusal to buyer of this boat, so if you would like it please let me know when you win the auction. It has a very unique feature of a pop top, this pops up to give more head room and really opens it all out so people inside can talk to people outside! There is a tent / canopy that fits around this pop top which is new and can be used on not so nice days or for a bit of shelter.Inside, starting at the front and working back...There is a locker right at the front inside which stores the anchor chain, followed by a double berth bed. There is a chemical toilet hidden away in this area which was converted from a seat toilet and is usable if you so wish! The water tank is housed discretely under the front berth. In the main section there is a dining area which seats four with a table, this converts to a double berth. There is a kitchen area with sink and water from the tank with a handy cupboard under the sink. There is a work surface which can be used to store drinks, cook on etc. Under the work surface there is a USB / Radio Stereo along with a 12v socket from on board battery and a 240v plug socket powered from shore power.Between the galley and the entrance there is a seating area which converts to a captains quarter berth single bed but you need to have small hips to sleep in this one as it extends under the outside cockpit! The battery is housed under the dining area seating with the electric control panel on the front wooden panel before the bulkhead. On the entrance step inside there is the handle for the swing keel underneath. If you want to do some sea / lake sailing in it you can lower the swing keel which increases the draft to about 6'.The bulkhead between the outside and inside has a compass in it with a white cover on the outside. The outside cockpit is quite large, you can seat 6-8 people quite easily. There are marine 12v electric sockets in the pockets at the side of the cockpit. There are two lockers at the back, one is a sealed one and one gives you access to the entire underside of the cockpit area which is great for storing oars, hooks, etc etc. At the rear there is a tiller which can drop up and down for shallower water. On the back there is a bracket for an outboard which was new at the beginning of the year and will take the weight of a 4 stroke engine. This bracket adjusts up and down so you can lift your engine up in shallow water or even out of the water completely. On top there is a sliding hatch and the before mentioned pop top. There are working navigation lights on the side and the rear. and a solar panel on the door hatch to keep the battery charged. There is also an automatic bilge pump inside as well as a backup manual one. There are low energy LED lights inside the boat for dull days or at night. There is a 240v shore power connector on board which powers the 240v socket and a battery charger on .Near the mast holder in the middle there is a 12v marine socket for connecting to a mast light. It comes with two masts, I haven't really used either this year as I have just been cruising on the river with it using the motor. There is a aluminium one which is around 8m long which has a boom. This will need sails and some modification to fit the current mast holder. There is a shorter wooden one which I have put up a couple of times this year and sailed down the river on a jib sail. I have a jib sail for this but not main sail. This attaches / detaches quite easily from the boat. You can have both masts in this sale, one or none its up to you. This boat is moored in Northampton currently, the mooring I have is not available but there are some in the area. There is a slipway onsite which can be used if you wish to take the boat away by road but no trailer is provided or included in the sale so you will need to bring your own.
