This is my late uncle's fishing boat, which was his pride and joy. He spent many an evening on his boat pulling pots and going fishing in the beautiful waters off St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly. Captain Ellis was a marine engineer so his boat was pulled up every winter, taken to a hanger, stripped, painted, de-fouled and made thoroughly shipshape for the next season. The boat has been looked after meticulously and is currently located in Old Town, St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly. It has a heavy duty tarpaulin cover over it and is still in excellent condition. Comes with a longshaft Yamaha 8hp outboard engine.COLLECTION OF BOAT - The boat is located on St. Mary's in the Isles of Scilly. We will get the boat to the quay at St. Marys for it to be loaded onto the Gry Maritha for transportation to the mainland. The approximate transportation costs are £298. The boat will then be landed in Penzance. The boat is on a yard trailer which may not be suitable for towing. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure all transportation from the quay at St. Mary's onwards. Now for all the detailed blurb:Traditional launch believed built in Christchurch, in around mid 1970's.History
Present owner since 1975, previously thought to have been built for previous owner as a passenger ferry, explaining the under-land protection down the Starboard side. The late owner, a well-known marine engineer in St Mary’s (Isles of Scilly), often undertook his own maintenance alongside locally sourced boat builders which have kept her in prime condition. Fully fitted out, along with a hydraulic winch in 2001 to lift pots, she is now used a pleasure fishing boat around the Scillies.
