JACANA is a 27 feet, 4ft 11 inches draft, 5 berth Dufour 2800 sailing yacht built in 1979 and is in very good condition. (Trim , as Para Handy would say).
The cabin is full height and very comfortable, all the upholstery has been re-covered.
Replacement (2003) Volvo Penta 2010 10 hp diesel engine.
Currently in the boatyard at Tighnabruaich. Equipped with radio (Siva S10) and GPS plotter (Garmin map 531).
Comes with 3 man dinghy with Johnson outboard. Extra sails, spinnaker pole, also comes with its own cradle.
Last survey dated 2005 is available for perusal.
The Dufour 2800 featured last year in May issue of Yachting Monthly . It is designated as ideal coastal cruiser, capable of single handed sailing, very safe and dependable. Its a very snug and dry boat in the cabin, no damp smells like others we have been on.The PG tips in the cabin are included in the price , coffee is negotiable.
Galley contains a re-tractable chart table and a hinged table, which can be stowed when not in use. The original gimballed Dufour cooker with two burners and an oven is in full working order.
Any inspection welcomed.
We are only selling because our B and B business does not give sufficient time off during the summer to take her out.
Yacht has been cleaned and anti-fouled, engine has been serviced and it is ready to go back into the water.
