FOR SALE My newly fully restored day boat - ‘Bella’. She’s a real head turner!! 11ft Long x 5ft wide ‘Clinker’ style but made from GRP so maintenance will be minimal. She’s perfect for picnics up the river or for a spot of fishing out at sea. I bought her 2 years ago from an elderly fisherman in Bridport.
He used her everyday. Over the last 4 months I have completely stripped the boat and re-built. Everything is new. All paint work is new except on the very bottom of the boat. Please note, she hasn’t been antifouled because I don’t keep her in the water. All wood work is new - Seat and lockers. All hinges, screws and cleats are new. All rope, cushions, fenders, flag and tiler handle extension are new. Edging rope is new... So is the compass. The oars are original but freshly painted.She had a small A5 size fiberglass patch on the bottom which i paid a professional boat builder to replace.
The 6hp Mariner short shaft outboard engine is almost new. It was bought 2 years ago but has only been used over the last 8 months (it was in storage before I could use it) It has had only around 5 hours running time – so is basically new! The trailer is in good working order but could do with a fresh coat of paint. It was fully stripped and refurbished 2 years ago but would look better re-painted. New wheel bearings and the large underside rollers were fitted last month. She also comes with a ‘fitted’ heavy duty tarpaulin cover which works a treat. She fits 4 people very comfortably but have had 4 adults and 2 small children in her for a river trip with no problems. She’s relatively light (without the engine) and is very easy to launch and retrieve. Especially as the trailer has a winch. The only reason I’m selling her is because I want a new project and need space in my garage to do that.
The boat is located in Shoreham by Sea and viewings are welcome. You don’t need a 4x4 to tow her. I have a Mazda 6 and it works perfectly. Please note – This is an old boat which has been refurbished to a high standard. It isn’t a brand new boat.
