Rego till Nov 17 (just renewed)Up for sale is the well regarded Seafarer Venus 5m Half Cabin.
Well known for it's smooth and stable ride in all sea states, it is the perfect boat for the small family. We have owned the boat for 3 years now, and have used it as a family boat; used to wakeboard, waterski, fish, biscuit and just cruise, it is perfect as a first boat (which it is for us).
Vast majority of use for us is cruising on Jervis Bay, or Sydney Harbour (we take the boat to JB about Nov until the end of Jan), visiting the many small beaches and coves, with some time spent wakeboarding. My wife's favourite feature is the lounge at the back, which is more comfortable for those lazy days by the beach than other styles of fold down seating as seen on many other boats.
The boat is regularly serviced (1 x per year) with the most recent being 2 months ago (for the new season).
The VRO is disconnected (easily reconnected if you want) and we just premix the oil instead (more reliable/trustworthy).We bought a new trailer last year as i was not happy bringing it back to Sydney with the old trailer, and since new it has been heavily fish oiled to keep it in the best condition possible. The bearings and seals have just been serviced / replaced for the beginning of the season. This removes the common concern of a poorly maintained trailer potentially destroying your holidays! This boat is easily towed behind a regular family car, and does not require any special towing equipment, brakes etc. It's perfect for those wishing to travel on holidays, or who live slightly further away from the water. The previous owner kept it garaged, and i keep it in undercover security parking in Randwick.
After every use i use the wash bay (at parking location) to wash the entire boat / trailer combo (waxed 1 x per year).
