Many updates over the years and a refit in 2004. Originally from Viking, this had a lower helm option but was removed by Viking because we thought it cluttered up the Salon. We also had the 2nd factory sink removed in the master stateroom because it cluttered up the vanity in the Master. This is a galley down model, with dinette that can be converted to full bed when table is slid into wall and in picture of dinette, the table is only pulled out half way to show how it is stored.
From factory this came with 2 large reverse cycle AC's (one in front berth and one in salon) which cool and heat perfectly. Also has 3 electric heaters built in (one under dinette, one in salon, and other in stateroom) from Viking which work exceptionally well. Back in the 70's when, we had a 5500lb 360 degree swivel crane / davit / hoist added to the port side stern of the boat to lift our dinghy on to back with custom brackets that easily mount on or off.
In case you are wondering, I changed color scheme to Orange and black because I'm a Harley Davidson fanatic, plus the orange is easy to clean and stays cool under the Bimini top. (replaced 20months ago). It's my version of a Harley Davidson Viking edition.
With these new 496ci 8.1L MPI (Multi-port injection) engines, Hurth transmission (ratio 2:1) and Nibral props, it has increased the cruising speed to 22knts with fuel burn rate of about 22gph and a top speed of 34knts or 40mph, or you can cruise at 8kns with a combined fuel burn of 11gph. Remember this boat has a steep 18 degree deadrise at stern which limits top speed (40mph) compared to others but on the plus side it cuts through the rough seas with out feeling chop.
**From Viking this has Fiberglass decks that looks like teak.** ****Not pictured but I have all new cushions which surround the back deck cockpit that snap on, but have never been used.
**Teak wood limited to full swim platform, step entrance to salon, and trim on fly bridge exterior.**
***Added 4 Underwater LED's** (About $1k alone for underwater LED's) on stern 2 blue , 2 green Underwater***
***Above water LED's**, Red LED's to stern to light up whole deck inside. Last LED"S added was up on flybridge in Orange. All these LED's can turn off and on separately (including under water lights if you want just green or just blue or all) by remote from about 500ft away. Usually leave on at night at marina or out in anchorage because it makes the boat highly visible.
****This boat is Coast guard documented since new in 1974.***
