The Ultimate racing machine for the committed adrenaline junky HCGB National Formula 1 Championship winner in 2012, 13, 14, 15 and 16 First built in 2012 for the World Hovercraft championships this craft is built to the best possible specification, with superlight carbon fibre hull, diverging thrust duct, foam sandwich rudders and straightener vanes and the best engines and exhaust pipes available. When first built the craft weighted 175 KG, when combined with the efficiency of the thrust system and instant pick up from the lift engine deliver 0-60mph in approx. 4 seconds – hence the foot rests that stop your arms being pulled off. Maximum speed never accurately measured but estimated at 80Mph over land and water. The craft is beautifully engineered and has been designed to be as easy to maintain as possible. Controls are simple; handle bar steering moves the 2 rudders at the rear of the duct to steer, twist grip for thrust throttle, and lever for the lift throttle. These twin engine craft are very easy to drive, just point, squirt and hang on. The design of the craft allows for excellent stability in the corners and hence high corner exit speeds. This craft is now in its 5th season having won approx. 95% of all the races entered over that period. There have been a few knocks during its career but the craft has always been repaired and maintained to the highest of standards. Reason for selling; Job change and after 5 years of F1 dominance at the HCGB National series and recently at the European Championship I’ve decided its time to move on and concentrate on the next generation who have also recently taken up Hovercraft racing. Ready to race with some spares thrown in. Some experience of Hovercraft racing is recommended before you attempt to race this awesome machine - message me for more details Collection from Derby (trailer or flat bed van required), delivery can be arranged at cost Craft spec Hull; Vortex Predator made from Carbon epoxy foam sandwich, Kevlar floor Thrust system; Engine Rotax 809 (800cc water cooled triple.
