Moonshadow TRITON 26 sailing boat with swing mooring in Geelong J As anyone whos into sailing knows, buying a boat is easy. Finding somewhere to keep it that doesn’t involve selling a kidney isn’t easy. Due to a fairly nasty knee injury Im selling my yacht and MOORING at the Western Beach Boat Club (WBBC) in Geelong. Being able to buy a mooring in Geelong is as rare as hens teeth. Strictly dead mans shoes sort of thing. if you’ve ever seen a postcard or a calendar from Geelong it will normally show a whole bunch of boats on swing moorings next to Cunningham pier. Mine is normally on the photo. As part of the deal you will have to become a member of the club, Club rules state that to own a boat or mooring in the club grid you have to be a financial member. Membership only cost $500 per year and allows you to keep a tender (dinghy) under the club house, One free slip per year and cheap beer at the bar $2.5 stubbies J.
