You are bidding on a beautiful flag blue J/24.  In the local market she’s been referred to as ‘the pretty J.’   This J/24 has had nearly everything necessary to be a race winner in your local circuit – or a fantastic cruiser for you and your family.  Since I’ve owned Shadowfox, I’ve done a boat load of work to make her the best of both worlds.  She’s been laid out to cure old defects and to make her a fast, beautiful boat.  Completely gone over just a couple years ago – cabin painted white, teak redone, wood refinished.  All she needs right now is a good cleaning and you’re good to go.  Her hull is flag blue, with a bright white boot stripe and a red, VC 17 epoxy anti-fouling bottom.  Her top is finished with bright white and interlux interdeck grey nonskid paint.  Full cushions – both bunks and forward Vberth are done with blue sunbrella with red piping.  Hummingbird depth sounder and cd & MP3 player convey but have not been installed.  Shadowfox has been stored indoors and not sailed for the past three years. Only for the last few months has she been outdoors.  Her keel has had the vermiculite removed, keel reshaped and just about everything done to make her fast. No current measurement certificate – but she’s ready to go in terms of measurement and racing.  Winches have been re positioned. Trailer does not have a title.  Single axle robust construction.  Recently inspected.  I trailered the boat from Newport, RI to Winchester, VA without any trouble.  Comes with Spinnaker, Blade Jib, Genoa and main – sails great for cruising a leisure sailing.  Also comes with a crisp 2008 Main with I think one regatta on it.  Tan sunbrella sail/boom cover.  Matching tan covers for winches and tiller.
Boat comes with a 3.5hp Tohatsu 2stroke engine.  This is the lightest motor allowed by class rules.
Storage paid through November 30, 2016.  Winning bidder should plan to pick her up prior to December 1.  If you need to pick up after that date, storage fees will be your responsibility ($122 per month). Boat is for sale locally so reserve the right to close the auction early if she sells.
