The Montego 25 was designed as a cruiser with speed potential to be club raced by a family. For this purpose, the hull configuration and air-foil shaped keel promote rapid entry through the water while maintaining the stability usually found on larger boats. On the other hand, the "cruiser" side of a sailor requires comfortable accommodations which make staying on board a pleasurable retreat from "the same old routine". The main cabin is finished in rich warm teak accented by 5 inch cushions. The galley is fully equipped with hideaway stove, self draining ice box, stainless steel sink, dish and utensil rack, dinette table and ample storage areas. The forward berth area includes an enclosed head area with vanity, sink and hanging locker, and privacy in the salon with sliding teak door. On the deck, requirements of both the racer and the cruiser have been considered in the layout of hardware and rigging.
