Hi and welcome to my listing. We have here a 1930's 36ft admiralty boat. It is for sale through my company due to the repossession from the owner due to shortage of funds - someone is going to get a bargain here. £40k has been spent on this boat over the last 3 months and the work has been carried out by my company to a high standard. We specialise in bespoke refits and builds. Let's start with the exterior the topsides are sheathed in West Systems epoxy with a woven cloth, they are sprayed in epoxy primer and faired to a flat finish with a 2 pack polyurethane topcoat. This is less maintenance than a grp boat it doesn't fade and can be machine polished once a year so the top is virtually maintenance free. The decks have been replaced with marine ply, sheathed in west systems and then epoxyed with £12k of tek dek style composite decking (maintenance free no varnishing or oiling). The skylights have been overhauled on the top deck and are finished in varnish. This fills the saloon and galley with light. The wheelhouse has been extended again in marine ply sheathed and painted with wrap around glass windows. This will make a briliant seating and table area which would convert to a double bed. The exterior of the boat is stunning and it just needs personal touches such as toe rails/hand rails etc should you want them. From the rubbing strake down is double diag, and I believe it is constructed in teak. This has been taken back to bare wood and faired to a smooth finish with a single pack paint to allow movement. The hull is not sheathed as I don't believe in sheathing a good hull if it's not necessary. This hull will out live you and me due to its expensive construction which would not be viable to build today due to the cost of the wood. A full survey is available which was taken before we started work on her. The under side has been stripped and antifouled, with new seacocks installed. The propellor has been polished. The boat has recently been put back in the water and is lying on an annual berth in Southampton which welcome liveaboards, but could be moved to a berth in your chosen area. She is powered by a Hercules 6 cylinder diesel engine which pushes the boat to 12 knots. It was on our job list to remove this engine and give it a paint and some modern touches, such as a bigger alternator and glowplugs. It is a good runner and only needs cosmetic tidying. The inside of the boat has been started in some areas. The electrics have been run through and so has the plumbing. There is a double bed in the forward peak leading back into a teak faced half built galley. To the starboard side the heads are located which was going to have a sit down shower and electric seatoilet. This is wrapped in a expensive teak faced ply. Leading back there was to be a study area with desk. The saloon has a "U" shaped seating area which converts to a double bed. Opposite this is a single seat which also can be used as a single bed. This boat is very spacious and was a good size liveaboard with the option to sleep 7 when finished. The wheel house is a lovely light space and the whole boat has so much potential. My team and I are sad they couldnt finish this project for our client but it must be sold to recuperate the money owed to my company. I am not desperate to sell this boat so please don't make silly offers as if there is no real interest on eBay I will finish the project and advertise it for £70k+ as she is a real classic. The boat dimensions are 36ft long, 12ft beam and weighs 12 tons. She draws 3ft (so suitable for french canals) and the air draught is approx 9ft. Any questions or viewing please contact me directly. No time wasters please. We can offer our marine services to the new owner if they wish as we specialise in refits, new builds and houseboats across the South Coast and London.
