Selling our Pride Cheetah "HERBIE".
Herbie is fitted with a 1971 Mercury 650 thunderbolt motor (65hp), on a Brooker tilt trailer complete with an engine support for when traveling long distances..
I am not sure of the age of the hull but the floor and transom are perfectly sound and have no soft spots or cracks.
The hull is rated to 115hp and so with only a 65hp fitted all its life it has not been stressed.
Boat reg paid till Dec 17 and trailer reg paid until Nov 17.We have owned Herbie for approximately 4 years and he has been our pride and joy but kids are growing so we have upgraded to an inboard ski boat.
Herbie has never seen salt water.In the past 4 years I have replaced or fitted the following:
New OEM Engine wiring harness, Spark plugs, fuel lines, wheels, light truck Tyre's, Bearings (upgraded to 13inch, 5stud gal wheels), Ski pole, winch, jockey wheel, spare wheel bracket.
Earlier this year I replaced the water pump and gearbox oil and fitted a Bimini for shade, so he is ready for a good time on the water.
The motor starts strait up and pumps heaps of water.
Battery is maintained via a solar panel and regulator (not for sale) when not being used.The negative bits:
This is a Manual tilt motor- which is not hard to do.
The Hull does have some scratches (See photos) as you should expect for a boat of this but nothing structural.
It is fitted with a tacho but it is not wired up and I do not know if it works.The previous owners owned Herbie for some 18 years and housed him under cover at Eilden.
We have only ever used him at Eildon or up on the Murray.
Herbie is kept in our Garage when not in use and as such the interior is in great condition with only a few minor marks.
No tears and great storage between the back to back seats.
He comes with some safety gear and ski gear, but only what is seen in photo's as the rest we have placed in our new boat :)
There are also some spare engine parts that I have been given. They include a gearbox, carbies and a starter motor.HERBIE is ready to go, just add water and your ski gear.
He can easily tow kids and adults on blow up biscuits and donuts and will tow kids on skis and knee boards.
