5.5M Trailer Sailer This boat (Ithaca) is near new and was built with loving care it has been kept under cover for its lifetime. It is a compact daysailer or weekender to suit two to four people, ideal for a small family who enjoy camping excursions. Her moderate rig and fixed ballast give her good stability and good sailing characteristics. The open area between the berths in the cabin has space with a porta potti and a small galley/bench and locker opposite. The arrangement, watertight compartments and other features, allow her to comply with the requirements of the Trailerable Yacht Association for racing. She has been constructed in strip plank, using 9mm Western Red Cedar, with a 300gsm reinforcement inside and out. Decks and bulkheads are plywood.
