Check out my cool retro boat, a circa 1970's sleek "speedboat" styler. I've been restoring her and I've just had a new three piece windscreen and black cover (with yellow piping) installed, The interior is all complete but needs a tidy up...I was going to go for a new steering wheel and some new seats, maybe some boat carpet for comfort. The motor is 60's (Johnson 60) and I've just had it checked out...there's no spark and the gearbox has water in it...all repairable but the recommendation was to spend the money on a replacement reco motor as parts would be easier to source on a newer model.
The gelcoat on the hull is OK,  no damage beyond some cosmetic scratches...on the top-side it's white and has been painted at some point so could do with a sand and refinish but it's practically workable. The transom has been checked by the mechanic and he says it's strong with no cracks or weak spots, so it could easily take a larger motor if you so desire. It's a clinker style yellow hull with a white top.The trailer is Dunbier, just registered and in perfect condition...it's worth probably $3.5k on it's own.So, there it is...a great restorer that will turn heads after some time and effort...it could go on the water right away with a new motor fitted, so it's up to you, put it back on the water right away or some some tidy up work first over the summer.
Drop me a message if you want come take a look at it. I'm in the Dandenong Ranges just off the Tourist Road so not hard to get to.
