Broom Aquarius 16ft Speedboat with 150HP Johnson OutboardBoat in good condition, I have owned the boat for just over two years. It was my child hood dream to own one and when I saw it I bought it. My time is now more restricted due to work commitments so sadly I am having to let it go, so this does not mean you are going to get it for nothing I know how much has been spent on it. It has:Large rear bench seat2 x front bucket style seatsBrand new (last year) steering system - it is nice and smooth, and easy to turn even under full powerSpeedo, Rev counter, horn & navigation lights150 HP VRO Johnson Outboard - V6Built in Stainless Steel bow fuel tank2 wheel trailerLarge centrally mounted tow hookPower Trim & Tilt on engineFish finder / GPS on dash - removable for safety Engine:1986/87 150HP Johnson VRO 2 Stroke engineself mixing using the vro system, it has a seperate oil tank in the rear on the boatPower trim & tiltThe engine runs perfect, I have spent quite a lot of money, it has had a new impeller fitted last year, with brand new housing. It had a new power pack fitted to one side of the engine due to a failure. All cylinders have been compression tested and all read very similar.I have been running the engine regular in a large water tank, it starts within first couple of turns from cold then idles without issue. It pulls easily through the rev range and powers the boat to around 50mph on the standard prop, if you put a stainless prop on you might get more. Trailer:The trailer is a snipe galvanized 2 wheel unbraked trailerI have fitted new axles - they are 1 ton axles where it had 750kg beforebrand new wheels and tyresbrand new bearings new winch
When I bout the boat one of the front sections of trailer had some rust on so i had a local steel company put a new section in, and this was then coated in galvanizing spray. The trailer is good and solid everywhere else, although I was planning to repaint the whole trailer with Hammerite straight to galvanized paint, this has not been done yet, but i am happy to throw in the paint for the new owner. Boat itself:I have no idea what year the boat is, but these are classic. I would imagine it is newer than the engine, I do know there were a large number of these available in the mid 90's from an ex military source so the boat could be from that era, but I am not sure. The boat is generally in very good order, the hull area does have some scuff marks from launching off the trailer but in my opinion it is generally very good, and I have had quite a few new & second hand boats. The floor of the boat is sound, it has a ski locker under the floor which is in good order. The upholstery in the boat is generally very good, although there is a small tear where the throttle has rubbed on the side and ripped through, I have this covered with black electrical tape and it seems ok at the moment. It comes with a matching tonneau cover, although this still works ok it would be on my list of things to get replaced fairly soon. There is also an old curtain side from a lorry which has been adapted to use as a winter cover, this is also included. Issues I am aware of:Between last season and now the horn has stopped working - I have a replacement just needs fittingThe navigation light switch is not working - I have bought all new switches to fit, special marine rocker switches again I will supply these with the boatPayment for the boat should be in cash, no haggling on the day I have tried to be as honest as I can be. If you want to view the boat before please contact me and we can arrange this, and the engine can be seen running on water muffs, either on the day or before.
