Up for auction is my freshly resto-modded 1976 Spectra 20 jet boat with a big block high performance rebuilt Ford 460ci and a Berkeley JG split bowl jet drive. Boat was originally bought in Southern California, and has always been used here in fresh waters. I purchased this boat 4 years ago from its original owner. The older gentleman had it parked indoors in his barn for many years and it was a true barn find that needed a little attention and love. I’v spent alot of time and effort to bring it to its current glory.  This boat is “turn key” and in very good vintage condition. Gel coat shines well and is in great condition for its age, although it does have its minor stress cracks (very inconspicuous). No fiberglass damage, or any soft spots anywhere. The deck non-slip edge has been “smoothed” out for a more sporty and clean look.   Interior is original diamond stitched vinyl and is in exceptional condition for its age. There are a couple minor nicks with biggest being the starboard side rear jump seat lower cushion as stitching has separated due to swimmers entering the boat wet.  Swim step has been restored with new hardwood, fiberglass and gel coated on underside (see pictures). Boat underwent restoration last year and currently has 32 hours on it. New seat bases with marine hardwood and supports. Carpet was replaced and all new wiring with new Faria gauges and polished aluminum angled bezels. Steering cables, forward/reverse cable, and throttle were replaced.  This boat has the original ULTRA RARE dash cover that goes behind the gauges to conceal the wiring and gives the cuddy a nice clean look. See pictures.  Fiberglass tanks have been removed and were replaced with two 17 gallon gunnel aluminum tanks. Also, all deck hardware, have been updated to polished aluminum flush style grill vents and fuel fills.  Fresh professionally built engine. Very strong with no issues. Estimated at 400HP. Engine build includes: Felpro performance marine gaskets through-out Stainless steel fasteners though-out  Block freshly mag’ed, baked/cleaned New moly rings Complete rotating assembly balanced D0VE heads have been completely gone thru, mildly ported and intake runners matched to larger Cobra intake ports Original Ford Cobra D0OE intake manifold Holley HP  850CFM with 1” phenolic spacer and marine spark arrestor Factory resized football rods Micropolished .010/.010 crankshaft Clevitte Race main/rod bearings New cam bearings 3 angle valve job, new springs/retainers, viton seals, bronze guides New factory OEM head bolts New anti pump up lifters Comp Cams Xtreme Marine Cam (sounds great, with lopey idle) CompCams double roller timing chain Blue printed high volume/pressure oil pump Oversized oil pan Rebuilt marine high flow fuel pump  New Pertronix Flame Thrower MARINE distributor with new wires New Pertronic Flame Thrower coil  New high torque marine starter with stand alone slave solenoid  Autolite 45 spark plugs Rebuilt u joint  Rebuilt “long bolt” exhaust manifold, ported to match exhaust exit on heads New Marine deep cycle battery  New bilge pump New bilge blower Berkeley JG Pump Completely rebuilt and blue printed by Jim Brock at Cyclone Speed/Marine New detailed impeller -spins right at 5kRPM detailed and smoothed bowl New Droop Snoot Large aluminum rudder New hydraulic Place Diverter speed loader scoop/grate The boat also has polished stainless steel Bennet Trim tabs, system is in excellent working order and helps with fine tuning when on plane and higher speeds.  I have pictures through out the entire restoration process, hull, interior, motor build, and so on. If you are interested in seeing the pictures, please don’t hesitate to ask. Everything is in good working condition on this boat!  Gets lots of attention on the lake as well as on the trailer! Very fun, fast boat on the water. A true 60mph cruiser! Dual axle Mariner trailer has new paint, nice American Racing chrome “moon” wheels and excellent Goodyear Marathon trailer specific tires (less than 1000 miles on them)and good bearings with grease buddies. Brand new lights and wiring, bunks and custom winch stand with new winch.  Trailer tows perfect, can easily be pulled cross country with no issues. This is a true turn key boat, one of a kind piece of boating history! Ready for the upcoming summer season, it needs absolutely nothing to go out and enjoy.  I will also include a nice custom made (cost $850)blue canvas with leather under stitching to protect against ripping.  White bimini top as pictured will also be included.  I have the title for boat/trailer in hand ready to be signed over to new owner.  Please e-mail or call me with any questions or for further info: 661.779.0799 - Phil  Local inspection and pick-up is highly encouraged.
