Sunseeker Mexico (1989), and trailer - RESTORATION PROJECT This boat has great potential for someone who wants to restore this great Sunseeker boat back to its former glory. The boat comes with the parts as set out below, and should you require clarification please do enquire. As noted, the boat is not in current working condition, and is ultimately sold as seen/described. It is currently on the trailer, which was recently fully renovated and as such should be able to be towed away by the purchaser. Below is information regarding the boat - it should be noted that the boat has been on trailer for approximately 12 years. Hull: The Sunseeker Mexico, with a 1989 hull which is in reasonable condition. Engine: The original Mercruiser Petrol engine was replaced with a 6.2ltr GMC diesel engine in 2002, it has had minimal use since (c. 5 hours) and it is likely to need servicing prior to use, the engine is not fully assembled but all parts are included for it to become operational. The water was drained from the engine and associated systems at the time, and the cylinders filled with oil when laid up but exact working condition is unknown. Outdrive: Bravo 2 outdrive was brought in 2003 to replace the original Alpha 1 outdrive. This was fully reconditioned following purchase and prior to fitting to the boat. Work still to be done: Installation and reconnection of starter motor, alternator, hydraulics, heat exchanger, heater plugs and water systems. The water pipes had perished so I bought stainless steel pipes to replace them, as will the marine ply floor over the fuel tank. I have purchased these parts, which will be sold with the boat. Cover: Tonneau cover - generally in reasonable condition but with a small rip in it around the port light. As can be seen from the photos a cockpit canvas cover and a separately "camper stern cover " are also included which are all in good condition. All interior cushions have been dry stored in a bedroom and cockpit seats hatch covers etc are stored in a shed. The cabin doors have recently been stripped back and are ready for varnishing and re-fitment. Trailer: West Mersea Trailer, galvanised and rated at 3000kgs, and in good condition. Recent replacement of all 4 tyres, bearing and brake cables. Two stainless steel props, ship to shore radio, anchor chain and rope, 2 fenders and other miscellaneous items will be included in the sale. It is advertised elsewhere so it could be withdrawn if it is sold.
On 14-Dec-16 at 13:48:59 GMT, seller added the following information:The boat needs to be moved this weekend due to house sale, although I can arrange for it to be relocated to secure storage on a temporary basis at your cost.
