IDEAL LIVEABOARD & GUARANTEED MOORINGHi, and thanks for looking at my ad for this 47ft Narrowboat for sale on behalf of the owner. She was built in 2004 by M.G Fabrications to a great specification. If you look around you can see that the asking price of £32,950 is very reasonable for a boat of this year and equipped to this standard with a mooring in this location and the owner will also consider an offer; she is advertised for sale elsewhere.Come and have a look around her, she is a great boat with some great features, fantastic equipment and a bright and light interior. You will not be disappointed. The mooring is fully transferable to the new owner and is in an ideal location in Egham / Old Windsor on the River Thames. The town centre is only a short walk away and has a full range of banks, shops, launderette, pubs and restaurants. It also boasts a mainline station running into London Waterloo including stops at Clapham Junction. The boatyard is small and friendly and everyone is welcome and the boat can be viewed there.Stepping onto the traditional stern there is a high quality folding tiller arm along with double steel doors and a steel sliding hatch into the boat. Standard single lever throttle and gear control to port with fuse board, switches and cupboard housing the electrical services. Fabricated stainless steel engine covers and steps cover the engine bay and lead down into the boat into the main bedroom. There are cupboards and wardrobes fitted port and starboard, a double bed fitted to port and further storage under.
A passageway to starboard leads forward into the cross bathroom that gives plenty of space and is fitted with a bath, stainless steel mixer taps, a shower over, porta-potti and a plumbed washing machine. From here you move into the saloon which is bright and airy and has the advantage of twin door side hatches either side so you can really open the space up and enjoy the river and canal views. This area is ideal for free-standing furniture and there is plenty of room for a sofa and more storage. There is a wall-mounted TV to starboard. At the bow, you find the galley area laid out with work surfaces and storage cupboards under either side with a deep inset stainless steel sink and combination tap and a free-standing gas cooker with 4 burner hob, separate grill and oven. A microwave is also supplied. Steps can be removed to reveal a massive storage space under the front deck. These steps also lead up to double steel doors and a steel sliding hatch leading out to the tug style front deck with gas locker forward. The interior is an attractive mix of painted tongue and groove to the ceiling and painted panels throughout the rest of the boat with further painted areas along with bright and stylish wallpaper to bulkheads. Portholes are fitted throughout that let in loads of light wihilst offering great security. There are 4 sets of double steel doors, at the bow, stern and side hatches, each fitted with screw-in brass bars for additional security.
Overall, this is a really good opportunity to get hold of a very well equipped and charming narrowboat that has a traditional stern with a tug front and a practical and usable layout at a very attractive price that is suitable for use as a full-time liveaboard, a pied-a-terre or as a holiday or weekend cruising boat. The interior has a light, bright and stylish feel and gives her a great character that will quickly make you feel at ease. She is a great boat and comes with moorings that are very reasonably priced so please come and view her so you can see for yourself. You are welcome to come and see the boat and look her over, so please feel free to give me, Richard, a call on 07958 792122, and ask any questions or to arrange a viewing. Alternatively, you can just turn up and look around as the boat is in a boatyard on the Thames; Bell Weir Boats Ltd, Yard Mead, Egham, Surrey, TW20 0AA. I have taken the measurements from the previous owners, Boat Safety Certificates and other sources. Cash, Cheque, Banker's Draft or Bank Transfer is required for payment, and the payment will have to clear before you can use or take the boat. The boatyard welcomes DIY boaters and also has a full range of professional services on hand. I can also help with delivery if needed but you are more than welcome to continue with the mooring in the boatyard. Please feel free to email, phone or visit.
