This smart, cosy, well maintained, 70ft long cruiser stern narrowboat made by kingswood in 2000 powered by a beta marine engine is suitable for a couple or a single person in its present configuration. It has been continuously cruising in & around the capital for the last 5 years. Maintenance has been carried out by a dedicated boat fitter who will vouch for all work done & continue to look after the boat in the future if required. The boat comes fully furnished and equipped. She is beautifully fitted out, all interiors were optimised for a life on the water by designer, who also gave the boat its individual unique feel. Forward is the dining area, galley kitchen with oven, grill and 4 gas hobs as well as a full range of crockery and utensils, a multi-fuel stove which also supplies 4 radiators thru the boat. Midships is a lounge & home office in the day which converts to master bedroom in evenings. The bathroom has a basin, hot shower and a Thetford chemical toilet with 3 cassettes. The walkin wardrobe has plenty of space to keep all your clothes neat, tidy & well aired. At the back of the boat is another room, at present this has a small bed couch in it plus shoe & coat storage. Electricity is derived from 4x12v domestic batteries charged by running the engine briefly every day. It is possible to charge mobile phones and laptops and operate 12V equipment. Hot water also comes from running the engine or from the boiler connected to the multi fuel stove in the kitchen. There is also a Honda petrol generator & battery charger to provide mains power when required & to charge batteries more efficiently. Living on a boat in London is not for everyone - cruising around the canal system is more hassle than living in a flat. There are jobs to be done such as filling up with diesel, with water, checking the batteries, emptying the toilet. But there are no added costs, except for your own consumables such as diesel, gas, oil or stern grease - this depends on usage but can be estimated at about £350 a year for diesel and about £65 for gas. The boat has a current boat safety cert,
