20 ft Austral Class CatamaranThis was purchased to start a new hobbie however, since it has been sitting in the shed its time to move her onto bigger and better things.Fibreglassed Hulls with marine ply on topFully equipped with all ropes, jib, mainsail, spinnaker and all other equipment. Seating area is all marine ply and sits level with the top of the hulls. Comes with its own trailer (see images) which is NOT registered. Trailer is registrable, however has some surface rust only. No structural rust has been identified and wheel bearings deemed to be fine.'Dorado' is a fully Australian made Catamaran, an Austral 20 was a 6 m (20 ft) catamaran produced by Charles Cunningham in Australia in the early 1960s period of experimentation. We have all the original handwritten blue prints in perfect condition, each with intricate, handwritten descriptions of construction steps and drawings of all dimensions. Original construction specifications and photos from her maiden voyage are all included.Dorado is still 100% seaworthy or for the collector would make an interesting project to discover more about seacraft in the early 60's. Does have weathering of the marine ply on the top of one of the hulls (As shown in pic) however very easy fix.Excellent catamaran suitable for entry level and intermediate enthusiasts alike.Offers and questions are welcome!!
