2011 Homebuilt 14’ Carolina Dory Skiff 1992 9.9 Mercury Engine 1989 Load-Rite Trailer This is a 14’ Homemade Carolina Dory Skiff. This boat is excellent for fishing in ponds or crabbing/hunting in Back Bay’s. The boat is powered by a 1992 9.9 Mercury Outboard which is plenty of power. This boat is excellent for shallow waters as it only drafts 3 to 5 inches. I purchased the boat plans online from Spirainternational, Inc. in August 2010. The boat was constructed using traditional plywood on frame construction. The primary construction materials consist of 2 X lumber and ½ inch plywood. The hull of the boat was waterproofed and strengthened with coats of marine designated epoxy and 4oz fiberglass cloth. The rough dimensions’ and measurements are listed below: Length: 14’ 2” Beam: 5’ 4” Height: 2’ 10” Weight: 300 lbs (Roughly) Max Capacity: 725lbs – using Coast Guard Calculations Powered by: 9.9 Mercury Outboard This vehicle is available for local pickup only – we live in Townsend, Delaware – If you have any questions please ask before bidding.
