Putt Putt. Original timber 14' dinghy with Simplex engine.
Estimated price for orientation: 520 $
Category: Motorboats
Class:
Description State: NSW Hull Material: Wood Length: 14 ft
For sale is an elderly timber Putt Putt with a Simplex engine. The boat is 14 foot long and is registered for 12 months. I will admit to knowing absolutely nothing about these boats, having accepted it in lieu of a debt payment. I have checked with friends who have more knowledge of these things and am told that it is a very solidly built timber craft and is very likely 50 or 60 years old. It has been kept on a mooring and when I collected it I found it to be bone dry inside, so obviously it doesn't leak and it towed beautifully which, so I am told, indicates that the hull line is good. Until a couple of years ago it has been in regular use as a fishing boat.It is fitted with a recent custom-made canvas cover - which obviously does not leak either, considering the amount of rain we have had of late.I admit to knowing little about it and would advise anyone interested to give me a call on 0416 141 623 and arrange to come and take look at it. It is being sold 'as is, where is'.Happy bidding!
On 28-Feb-17 at 21:32:11 AEDST, seller added the following information:Regrettably, I have just found it necessary to cancel certain bids and as a result it has thrown everything out of place. The reason was very simple; a bidder had placed an unknown number of automatic bids so as to over-ride any other bids made. The bids themselves were suspect as the bidder had only joined ebay that day. Ebay advised that they had been unable to verify the ID detail given by the person and, despite requests, the person declined to contact me. Hence I cancelled the bids they had made which meant, in fairness, cancelling the next bid in line which had been forced up - and so it snowballed! If the bidder concerned just happens to be genuine, then please contact me. If not, then I really don't have to tell you what you are, do I.
