‘Dolly’ I bought her with the intention to do it up and use a commute boat.
Unfortanatly like every other boat project on ebay, I dont have time to complete.
We have a big holiday planned and betwwen now and than, I just wont have the time. Good potential on this little one,
-Hull is in good nick does not leak a drop (atm no bilge pumps are hooked up onboard)
- steering works, throttle cables etc are all functional.
- wheel house will need repair (rot) but still is fine for now
- V berth sleeping area
- 6 cyl Ford Lehman diesel 80hp (i think) (shaft drive)
- diesel generator – Volvo penta.
- outboard bracket ready to bolt on if you want to move it (very solid )
- 30hp outboard available at extra $500 if wanted to move straight away.
The boat is located on Sydney Harbour near Gladsville bridge. (watch the new years fireworks)
It is on a commercial mooring (so No need to move it ). It is paid up untill April 17. So you just let the Marina know you want to stay longer and its $300 per month. Or cheaper if you go perminant. That includes a dinghy service (they drop you to the boat and back) The boat is only 1km away from a large boat ramp. So it can be trailered from there easy enough if it needs to travel a distance. (i was looking at this option so i can help with a company if you like)
Im happy to help tow it around with my dinghy if you like. So the engine.
I have been to the boat 3 times, 1st – move the boat to the marina 2nd – give it a tidy up 3rd – take pics for this auction
so I really have not played around with it or the generator. It would need a service, batteries, starter motor and clean diesel at a minimum, But maybe it needs a full rebuild, im not sure.
I tried to turn the motor over, it did not move easy (i had minimum tools with me) so my guess is it just needs to be freed up because it has sat for a long time but that might be wishful thinking.
Same deal with the Genset. It looks really good but I have not run it yet. (id consider buying it from the buyer)
I made up the outboard bracket because I was going to move it up to my place (central coast) so it was easier to work on. So you can have that (just need to mount it) Inside the hull is pretty nice and clean. There is some rust in the topside gunwale, but in general the hull seems ok. Needs an antifoul, marina its at said $1050 for the haul out and 2 coats of antifoul. I can probably rattle on for ever but to sum up. I bought it because it be great with a bit of work. I still belive that, nothing changed, its just on the market because i dont want to have it sitting there for the next 6 months before i will get a chance to work on it. She has Rego and is insured so that will be able to be transfered to the buyer i would think so that will save ya abit of hassle. Any questions please ask Fine Print (might just answer ya question)
