Hello All, This was my labour of love project. I have spent hundreds of hours and pounds getting her refurbished but am upgrading to a bigger boat. Completed June 2014. Almaz (Diamond in Arabic) is a Scimitar 21 by Laurent Giles. Built by SARO Anglesey in from the mid 60’s she is GRP very thick with an absolutely solid hull. Build number 80. Aprox 10 mm thick hull and deck. Lead keel 700 ibs See the link for dimensions. She was completely resprayed, gel coat inside and sunseeker majestic blue on the outside. I bought brand new sails Quays Sails Poole3 years ago. Fitted out with bench seats inside and very easy to control and sail single handed.. See youtube link this is me just out on my own cruising about. She sits 6 quite comfortably. Comes with a 4 hp outboard which I have moved to the rear of the boat (not the side). No Trailer as it was stolen by a robber! I have all the pictures of her development and how I found her.If you have fewer than 20 ebay activities or so over the past year, please get in touch (msg) to confirm your intent and let me know that you are genuine.
