Cleopatra Fox 23 projectwith single 140hp diesel for fishing or weekend cruising
Estimated price for orientation: 950 $
Category: Power Boats
Class:
Description Manufacturer: Cleopatra Use: Fresh Water, Salt Water Type: Fox day cab/weekender cruiser Engine Type: Diesel on Volvo Penta 270 outdrive Length (Feet): 22.5 Engine Manufacturer: Kia (from a Kia Sedona) Beam (Feet): 9 Engine Model: 2.9 litre overhead cam 4 cyl diesel
This GRP Cleopatra has seen a fair bit of work a few years ago plus which included a complete overlay of Kevlar to the hull refit in the cockpit, fitting of a Kia Sedona 2.9 Litre Diesel on a Volvo 270 leg and a part completed refit in the cabin. She is very basic. Electronics and battery for example are not secure but it got as far as being launched and tried at sea reaching about 15 knots apparently which I believe.. The finish is altogether rough but functional (see close up pic). She is a fairly spacious boat and the cab although smallish has a fair amount of room with two berths and a area set aside for a cooker. The engine ran ok, but needed a service then. It is raw water cooled at the moment. She hasn't been run for 18 months now so the engine and drive needs checking over and servicing. The prop on her is bent and I think a bit short of blade area to get the best performance. The fly hood shown was in a poor state as shown but is now dead. The hood is still available as a template if required and the hoops are there. The hoops have come off on one side and broken the side glass of the windscreen. To summarise, she is defiantly a mucky project now (pics were taken when she was cleanish 18 months ago, the dreaded green algae has grown since then) but she is potentially a useful economic boat with a diesel and outdrive engineered together and installed already. She is well forward on a trailer which will be sold separately. The trailer is not roadworthy. I will upload some more recent picsRing Pete on 07880 501272 for more detail.
