For sale is my Leisure 17 sailing yacht, named "Tasca" which is Italian for pocket, being a pocket-sized yacht. She is a small project as has been out of the water for a while and stored on the hard. She does needs a little TLC and rigging check before she can be ready for the new season. Nothing serious. The photos were of when she was launched on our lake to check for water tightness, etc. Includes main sail, hank-on jib and a colourful spinaker (no pole). The main sail has its original boom furler. The is an anchor along with chain and rode, fenders and various other boat pieces. The interior has cushioned bunks which are in good condition. Its claimed to be a 4-berther but realistically two can sleep comfortably. There is the original portaloo and gas stove. The stove was rarely used as found it more convenient using a portable gas stove (disposable cannister type). Included is a Yamaha 2-stroke outboard engine. This hasn't been run for sometime but was winterised/prepared for storage before being put away. When it was in use was a rock-solid easy starter and ran well moving the boat easily. There is a remote fuel tank which is metal and a bit rusty so maybe a plastic replacement should be considered. She is currently on her trailer (un-braked) which is not currently considered road worthy as not moved for while. However, the wheel bearings were replaced (and regreased) but was just never tried out. Its strongly suggested that she is loaded on to a flatbed trailer to be moved safely. She is currently located in the boat park of the Littleton Lake Sailing Club nr Shepperton & Queen Mary reservoir. The boat will have to be moved immediately once sold however, there is a slight (need to add very slight as club rules have to be respected) possibility of keeping her there *if the buyer joins* the sailing club and pays the subs and the berthing fee. This is something still to be confirmed and would need to be agreed with the Sailing Club (can make inquiries). Its a friendly club, strong juniors fleet and very active dinghy racing program. Its hoped that Tasca will be taken on by someone that can get her looking pretty again and stretch her legs and cross some water. Viewing could be arranged, please message me. There is no postage or delivery of this. Buyer must arrange collection. Payment of 50% of sale fee to be paid by PayPal within 24/36hrs. Balance on collection. |
