Up for auction is my newly refurbished 1976 Tahiti Cheetah with trailer. I just finished restoring it and it is ready for the lake! Runs great, never had any major issues with it. Very fast and very fun. Great for water skiing. The restoration was brought on by a tear in the carpet. Figured I might as well hit multiple birds with one stone while I had the seats and carpet out. I have pictures of the process I can email you if requested. I bought it in May of 2014 from the original owner and since then it has been stored in my garage under its cover when not in use. There are some cosmetic cracks in the gel coat which can be expected with a 40+ year old boat. Over the last couple of months I have made several upgrades to it: painted the motor, replaced the original starter with a marine grade one, replaced the battery, replaced the carpet, rebuilt the seat bases, added a tool storage area behind the starboard side leathers in the engine compartment, added a little storage area next to the gas tank under the bow, painted the fenders, added a keel guard, remade the fender guards, I still need to replace one of the leathers by the engine compartment (I guess that was the only piece my dog found tasty).
