For sale is my beloved speed boat that I've spent more time pampering and looking after over the years than actually using. I am the second owner of this lovely boat, and have only used it on a fresh water lake, and I believe the previous owner did exactly the same. It is a great fun and powerful sports boat, perfect for wakeboard and waterskiing and with plenty of space for all the family and friends.I have two very genuine (and honest) reasons for selling:Firstly, the lake we've been using for years has now been sold to a new owner and we can't use it anymore (we're too far to easily get to the coast) Secondly, **AND THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ** on the last day of summer last year, the engine developed what I think is a serious engine mechanical fault. I'm not entirely sure what the fault is, but the engine lost power and gave out horrible sounding mechanical noise which appeared to come from within the engine. I have not taken this to a marine specialist yet, but you need to assume the worst case scenario which is that the engine will need to be taken out and fully reconditioned.Because I am selling this with a potentially terminally faulty engine, my asking price is £3,500. If you do a quick search online and on ebay you will see Mercruiser engine specialists offering reconditioning services and new recon engine blocks for £2k-£3. If you get this work done I believe you will have a really lovely boat worth a market value of £8-10k, so this could be quite a bargain if you're prepared to take this project on. If the engine fault is not that serious and easy to fix, then you've got a REAL bargain.Apart from the faulty engine, here are the good points:• Trailer in really good condition and serviced last summer, two new wheels, 3 new tyres (including spare) last summer. Removable trailer lighting / number plate board included.• Wakeboard tower fitted 2014 with wakeboard racks either side.• Lovely custom made C&J Marine full length cover fitted in 2014 (over £1k). This is a snug fit around the whole boat and tower and provides full weatherproofing• Lovely interior condition with no rips in seats or carpets. Always kept immaculately clean.• All electrics working and well maintained and serviced - all gauges working (some replaced last year), power trim, stereo, speakers, bilge pump, blower, horn, emergency cut off switch.• Full tank of petrol (with stabiliser additive for winterisation).• All paperwork, manuals and service information from new. Detailed records of all work carried out on boat (e.g. dates of oil changes etc).I have further information I can send you, including videos of the engine and the boat being used. Serious buyers will of course want to come and see the boat so please contact me to arrange this. As the engine is faulty I won't of course be able to demonstrate that running, but we can look at everything else together.
