For sale is "Bateau Lafite", a Dufour 24 cruising yacht. She's in beautiful condition for her age and comes equipped with everything she needs. She could be sailed tomorrow. She'll be sold with a good Mariner 6hp outboard. She's currently ashore in South Cumbria on her trailer; which is included in the sale and will be in good roadworthy condition for the buyer. We bought her off Windermere where she'd been for many years. We were drawn to her because of the large cockpit area and generous headroom in the cabin. I'm 6' 2" and can comfortably sit on the bunks. She has four berths, a single gas burner and a stainless steel washing bowl (not plumbed). There's a table which stores overhead in the forward berth and can be used either in the cabin or the cockpit. She was a quality boat when built. Twin skinned and insulated and fitted with moulded castings. You're welcome to come and view her and I'll happily answer questions. We've a genuine reason to sell her - she proved too big for the marina berth we managed to get on Coniston and has been replaced with another boat 2 feet shorter. We're sad to see her go but go she must as she's just running up storage fees now.So, I'm starting the auction at a price which is far, far too low and not putting reserve on her.I could deliver her at a negotiated price.NB: as usual, I'm advertising this locally so reserve the right to end the auction.NB2: Sorry to remove and relist this boat.......I seemed to get strange HTML text at the end of the description that I couldn't edit away. I've swapped browser and am trying again........
