Classic wooden 1972 Dutch 'Quarter-Tonner' Waarschip sailboat with prestigious mooring option. Boat includes 4 sails, spinnaker, new oversized rigging, 8hp outboard (yearly service completed 07/16). Assorted safety gear + bumpers. Very basic/original interior: 3-4 berths (2 forward, 1-2 aft, depending on how you like to store gear), chart table, deep built-in cabinet perfect for your Eskie or fitting out stove & sink. Includes original building plans, passed along by previous owner of 15 years.Maintenance History: A copy of the professional safety inspection completed 2 years ago (when new rigging was installed) is available upon request. The hull was stripped back to wood in 2006, when 2 layers of paint & 2 layers of antifoul were applied. (This section of info was supplied by prior owner, who is a respected member of the Blairgowrie Yacht Club.)The boat has a full keel and is located on a swing mooring just west of the pier in prestigious Cameron's Bight (next to Blairgowrie Yacht Club) on the Mornington Peninsula, which is an amazing 'locals only' deep water cove just before Sorrento. No road sign, so no tourists! Dogs welcome & deep enough to swim if desired. Its moorings are protected from major winds - excellent over winter. (Larger boats from Sorrento tend to seek these swing moorings after learning the hard way.) Boat registration paid until December 2017. The mooring is available as a rental ($50/week) including a permitted dinghy on the racks. Option to purchase by separate negotiation. ~~~~~~~Legal Stuff: Local pickup only. (I don't know how to change the 'Posts to' section in the ad - this boat DOES NOT post to 'Australia'.)Please give me a call to ask questions and/or arrange an inspection **before** bidding since eBay purchases are final. I am not a boat expert and cannot accurately assess the boat's condition. If you would like to arrange for a formal inspection, I can provide the name of the two marine services in the area. I believe they run about $150. Happy Bidding! (Listed other places - ad will be pulled promptly when sold.)
