Rowsell and Morrison Day Sailing Boat. Unfinished project due to lack of time. Phil Morrison designed, sheathed cedar plank construction with a double skin hull allowing the user to flood the bilges for ballast. Light enough to launch and recover from the sand but once flooded stable enough for family sailing or with less ballast a useful club racer. Hull and decks are sound and typical of Rowsell and Morrison build quality. I have taken the decks back to bare wood. There is some damage to the top veneer as shown in the pictures. There are scratches to the hull and some flaky paint internally. It comes with alloy mast and boom with rigging attached. Main and Jib in useable condition are also included as is the centre board and rudder. There is a very old launching trolley included, good enough to get the boat into your shed but not much else. No trailer The boat will require refinishing, some blocks, ropes and fittings and fitting out etc. There is also a timber outboard bracket on the transom. Nice project for somebody with the time to complete, I know people that have sailed and raced the boat on the Exe and they say it performed very well. Not sure what the year of the boat is but had to fill the box! Viewing is recommended at the weekends only please. Good luck, it would be nice to see this boat back on the water. Buyer collects with own trailer. Cash on collection.
