A Gentlemans Classic Italian Wooden Vintage Healey Marine Speed Boat / Motor YachtBelieved to have been manufactured in partnership with Healey Marine and Anchorage of Windermere, (as well as car makers, Donald Healey Motor Company were also expert boat builders) this beautiful Italian design inspired motor cruiser dates from late 1950's and is one of a number of such boats originally used for water ski-ing in the Lake District (when that was allowed.)In beautiful condition, she is 15 feet with a 5.5 foot beam and everything works as it should, , , including all lights, horn, bilge pump etc. etc.She is powered by a delightful Volvo BB70 inboard. (Volvo Amazon B16 engine) which is in superb condition and has been recently serviced with new starter motor, plugs, leads, filters, battery etc.Fuel is stored in her purpose built stainless drum tank in the cavity behind the rear seats.She sits perfectly balanced on her trailer (complete with brand new tyres) and she tows like a dream.Judging from her condition it most certainly appears that she has only ever been used in freshwater and as long as she remains well cared for and original she will most definitely continue to be a safe appreciating asset. (There are believed to be only a few surviving models (hence the reason why I jumped at the opportunity to acquire her) and the Italian equivalent vintage inboard speed boats are now selling for anything from £100’000 up to £450’000.
