Very stable sloop rigged, shoal keel, cruiser. Lived on her for two summers in the Great South Bay... I absolutely love this boat and had hoped for a 'Great Loop' or Caribbean cruise next time I was unemployed but ended up getting married, moving to a 38' tri-cabin, and then taking a full-time job. It hurts, but I have to finally give her up. The previous owner had given her years of loving care, so she is in great shape for her age. 25' is big enough to be a comfortable cruiser, yet small enough to sail alone, also nice to remain under the Coast Guard's smaller craft requirements, and paying less for slip rentals didn't hurt my feelings either. Unbelievable amount of enclosed storage compartments on this boat for food and gear, definitely built for cruising. 1986 Watkins Seawolf, 2' 6" shoal draft with 1,900 lbs of ballast, sloop rigged, tiller steering. 1996 - 9.9 hp 2 stroke 25" shaft Evinrude O/B (high thrust prop) on retractable engine mount. Teak door, cabinets, and bulkheads. Original main sail, original 150% Genoa (w/ Harken Roller furler), Sails professionally cleaned and refurbished in 2012, in good condition, Main sail cover and UV strip on Genoa, 7 gal EPA- compliant gas tank, new cockpit seat cushions. Galley: Running water to stainless sink, deep chest ice box holds 10 lbs ice and keeps food cold for 2+ days. Two burner pressurized stove-top modified to use sterno cans, non-pressurized alcohol, or camp stove (pressurized alcohol was not my friend). Fold down dinette table with room for 4.Head: Stand-up shower drains to bilge and pumps overboard, running water to sink drains directly overboard, and manual seawater flush Johnson toilet drains to 9 gal holding tank w. marina pump-out fitting installed. Toilet is also plumbed with Coast Guard approved locking mechanism for overboard discharge during extended cruising at sea. Was going to put in a propane water heater but decided I actually didn't need one since I never bothered to use the propane camping heater that is stored on the boat except during April and October.Forward Cabin: V-berth. Aft berthing sleeps 3-4, VHF marine radio, CD player w/4 speakers. Upholstery is in decent shape but if I were going to move back onto her, I would double the padding and have everything redone in canvas. 50' of 12 volt LED lighting under the interior trim gives off a nice warm light in the living areas.Hauled, winterized, and stored on the hard at Anchorage Yacht Club until Memorial Day. Needs a touch up on the anti-fouling bottom paint before launch. This is a perfect first sailboat, or coastal cruiser, easy to single hand. Tough girl, she rode Hurricane Sandy out on a mooring with no damage. Old name/homeport removed for replacement. Purchased new blue pinstripe with new name tape "Liberty" and homeport "At Large" stored on boat. Headroom: 5'11"
