'Northern Star'The Macgregor 26C is a classic sailing boat, not to be confused with the part power boat Macgregor. Easy to sail, 6 berth, excellent as a family sailing boat, complete with trailer she is ready to go. Built in 1991, excellent condition for age, has been stored in garden for last 12 months. Full survey in 2015. Dimensions: Length: 25’10” Beam: 7’11” Draft: 6” to 6’3” centreboard down Keel: GRP drop keel with water ballast in hull Rig: Sloop Full Details Promotion video, old but shows exactly how to launch and recover from a trailer:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFP3QA9-5GIWater Ballast: After launch into the water a valve is opened, this allows 1200lbs (545kg) of water into the ballast tanks. The valve is then closed and this extra ballast makes the vessel stable and self-righting. On recovery to the trailer the valve is opened again allowing the water to drain as the boat is towed up the slip way. This creates a trailerable package that is lighter than even smaller boats and allows flexibility in self-storage. Deck: Tohatsu 9.9hp outboard, which was bought and fitted new in 2006 – so has had very little use and has been regularly serviced. Reliable very economical, runs on unleaded petrol. There is a lockable cockpit locker aft, where the fuel, anchor and fenders are stored, large for this size of vessel. The cockpit has a Nasa Marine Depth, Marine Log and Plastimo Compass. Mainsail with lazy jacks and rolling foresail fitted, original Gib sail included. Cabin: Double berth forward and aft. Two single berths either side of main cabin space. Toilet compartment aft of forward berth, currently has a chemical toilet but vessel was fitted for sea toilet and still has pipework. Jabsco twist and lock toilet was bought and is included in the sale. Small sink in main cabin. Extras: Handheld VHF radio Raymarine TillerPilot 1000+, tested but not fitted 2 adult Bluewave Premium 150N lifejacket with harness Hyrostatic (2013 – as new) 2 junior Bluewave Navy Kids 150N Automatic lifejacket with harness (2013 – as new) Porta potty toilet Sea Toilet, not fitted.
