Welcome to our auction for our Vintage 1966 Hurley Silhouette. Snowdrop is 18ft long and has an Inboard Yanmar 1GM10c 9 hp Diesel Engine which pushes her along quite nicely when the wind drops (when does that ever happen in England!) however it's great for getting you in and out of harbour easily.She will come with her custom trailer which is fully galvanised and makes launching easy. The tyres were replaced last year (may need a little air but don't worry I have a pump!) trailer has a winch attached but this may require a new cable as steel and salt water don't really mix.She has a complete set of sails ( Main and Jib) Jib is on a roller furler which makes single handed sailing very easy. All sails are in good condition and have been stored in the garage when not in use, they do have some minor rust staining but not overly noticeable. Much of the standing rigging was replaced last season (shrouds, cap shrouds and stays) and all lines so she is ready to enjoy.As you can see from the photos the cabin has been remodelled to give greater overnight capabilities, (done last year) not shown in the photos are the foams for the cushions (because I stored them in the loft and need to retrieve them.) There is just the foam and covers will need to be made for them. All framing and flooring was also replaced during the remodellingThe Silhouette like all Hurley's is a forgiving little boat that is Ideal for the beginner or if you would just like to potter about under sail. My wife and I have had a couple of fun years sailing here in Kingsbridge but we would now like to move to motor cruisers hence the need to sell our little Snowdrop.Snowdrop is sound and ready to sail but could benefit from a new coat of Antifoul and a touch up here and there on deck to smarten her up.Any questions please ask, viewing available in Kingsbridge, Devon most days.
