For sale is our Shetland 610 Estuary & Coastal 3Ltr V6 Inboard. This craft “Happy Days” has over recent years undergone a full refurbishment including conversion from outboard to inboard engine, a labour of love with no expense spared. It has a fully refurbished interior and benefitted from new upholstery plus full canopy 2 years ago which still looks clean and fresh with no rips, tears or weathering. We have hundreds of photographs throughout the refurbishment that we would gladly supply to the winning bidder. I am offering this craft up as a ‘near completed project’ for the following reasons but don’t be put off – please read on: · The windscreen (acrylic) has suffered crazing during last year hot summer and requires replacement. Numerous companies do these from previously acquired templates cost circa £245.00 (£90 if you’re handy at DIY). · The Gas Hob & Sink whilst fitted require plumbing in (never used). · Engine has a small leak on the exhaust manifold, just requires a new gasket. The manifold is a custom fabrication from stainless steel and during maintenance last year we forgot to replace the 3rd pot with double gasket and so passes a little water during operation – a very easy fix. · The engine, whilst winterised, has not been started since close season last year and would benefit from a service, renew plugs etc. · The winter has killed the batteries so new batteries will be required. It has provision for 3 batteries 1 engine start and 2 leisure batteries. Reason for selling is simple and genuine, we had this craft at Brightlingsea, Essex and had many good days of fun and coastal hops but got bored of the same routine, planning around tide tables and the mud! So we opted to try the inland waterways and have really enjoyed the comradery and friendship this provides with 24/7 availability. We have found the perfect club! However, this new found enjoyment has resulted in us out growing our boat as we now find that we want to not only sleep aboard most weekends but entertain on board as well. Our “Happy Days” is simply too small for our new found needs! So we are looking to buy bigger! Also to be honest, this craft is not really suitable for a life on the rivers/canals as the engine is a 3ltr V6 and you cruise on tick over when the boat craves a thrashing! You are not permitted to get up on plane and cruise being restricted to 4knots L The good points: · 2 years of Boat Safety Certificate remaining. · No osmosis (boat survey). · Skid trailer included in sale. · 3litre V6 Essex Engine (reconditioned lump when fitted 2012) marinised with stainless steel manifold/exhaust with upgraded electric ignition. · OMC Cobra leg with electric gearing – smooth. · Prop is pitched for coastal NOT inland waterways. · Hydrofoils fitted. Brings up on plane quickly so saves fuel. · Split charge that charges all leisure batteries (2no) plus the main battery. · 240v and 12v systems. · Large fuel tank (petrol). · New full canopy 2015 (pristine condition) designed for the sea angler in mind! With matching black out panels. · LED lighting throughout Aft deck and cabin. · 12v LED TV & DVD. · Hot blow air heating (requires a replacement Fairway taxi heat exchanger circa £35 on eBay) keeps winter fishing comfortable! · 2 burner gas hob and sink (stainless steel & NEW) requires plumbing in. · 240v Mini Student oven (never been used) fully operational. · Swim platform with extendable 2 step s/s ladder plus shower head for washing fish scales away rather than on board plus anchorage for cool box fish storage – a must have if you’re gonna be taking the wife and kids out! · Full navigation lights plus bright LED night cruising lights (bring you home with plenty of light in the dark!). · VHF (channel 16 distress button) radio. · CD/Bluetooth (mobile phone connection) Stereo. · The instrument panel/dials were new in 2014 and in stainless steel bezels with black face and look superb and also include for a dedicated speed/GPS (see pics). · The rear (aft) upholstery converts to a sun lounger (and could become a bed for a 5th angler!). · Aft table for breakfast or glass of wine! · Antifouled during last crane out 2016. · Anodes replaced during crane out 2015. · Original gel coat top half but hull professionally painted to match colour of gel. · Fitted for Garmin Fishfinder (offered as separate sale – see other listing). · Fitted for Navman colour chart plotter ( offered as separate sale – see other listing). · The boat has an intruder alarm fitted. · Bruce anchor & chain This boat will best suit the boat owner who wants something sporty with enough ooomf to get up on plane and thrill the wife and kids, be comfortable enough to spend a weekend aboard in a nice marina and glass of wine whilst secretly wanting a top class sea angler’s boat! This boat will not disappoint, we have had our son wakeboarding off the back, been cruising with the Mrs and mooring in marinas as well as many a weekend fishing with the lads – what an all-rounder and she definitely attracts attention with her handling, speed and good looks. At time of manufacture this boat was classed as a maximum 120bhp outboard!
