Plymouth Pilot 16ft with Petter PJ1 8.5hp diesel inboard and braked road trailer. Good Points: This boat was originally used in Scotland as a shrimping boat, she was then purchased as a workboat by a marina in Hartlepool where the current engine was professionally fitted, this engine was originally fitted to a boat yard emergency water pump and has hardly had any use. Being an air cooled engine there are no corrosion issues but the engine is a little noisey! Engine, gearbox and propshaft are all good. The battery is new. The hull and decking are sound The galvanised road trailer is in good condition as can be seen from the photos, the tyres are brand new and yes the brakes do work. The boat come with an anchor and about 100ft of rope There is an automatic bilge pump fitted Bad points: The rubbing strake needs replacing The dynamo does not work (I have fitted a solar panel on the engine cover to charge the battery), it would be a simple job to replace the dynamo if required. The engine exhaust currently goes from the engine box over the side of the boat, this works OK but you may wish to divert it under the deck.The boat is based in Rochford, Essex SS4 I have a brand new Mercury 6hp 4 stroke engine which I purchased last year, this is not included in the sale but if required we could negotiate a price.
