A fantastic way to live in the heart of Reading.
For sale is my home, a 37ft Narrowboat.
New in 2012 and fitted out by the previous owner in a unique style, it doesn't feel like being inside a caravan like most others! Rooms consist of: Lounge, kitchen, shower / toilet room, double bedroom.
Permanent double bed with loads of storage underneath
An truly relaxing and comfortable place to live set in a fantastic marina will all facilities and parking.
Fully serviced Beta engine.
BT broadband (fibre available)
Current BSS I have lived on this boat throughout winter. Even when it was -8 outside the boat was always toasty with the log burner and electric radiator. The marina (Thames and Kennet Marina) is 'Gold anchor' awarded, with all facilities such as a laundry room, shower block, and a bar with regular live music / food served. A great location on the Thames at the junction of the Kennent and Avon canal (to Bristol).
Neighbours regularly travel to Sonning, Henley or Oxford. Lots of storage underneath the bed and also underneath the sofa in the lounge. Thetford toilet
4 leisure batteries
Led roof lighting
Log burner
240 v hook up
Pure sine wave inverter 3000w
Blacked 2016
Engine serviced 2016
Engine mounts replaced 2016
Gland packed 2016
Full size gas oven with ring hobs
New hot water tank with immersion heater. Ready for a hot shower in 15-20 minutes!
Permanent mooring paid until October 2017. I have found the size of 37ft to be perfect for one or a couple, it is very easy to manoeuvre and not intimidating to drive. Also the mooring fees are very reasonable. I specifically looked for a boat with circular windows as it is better insulated, more secure and looks better!

The paintwork on the top is due for a touch up, I intend to do this before the boat sells.
